  • Have a concrete and provable refund and return policy with the seller. After you make the purchase, keep the details and receipt in a safe place.
  • Meet Publicly: Never meet with a seller at night, alone, in a secret or lonely place. Also, ensure you do so in a public place you are familiar with, where you can get help easily if need be.
  • If possible, ask for any legitimate means of identification from the seller.
  • Do not send your bank details to the seller or anyone else.
  • Check the item very well and ask questions. Be sure the item is not stolen.
  • Do not make payment without having the item in sure custody under your control.

  • Make sure the item photos do not show your house or family. Your house provides many clues about you, your income level, your family, and so on.
  • If possible, ask for any legitimate means of identification.
  • Meet Publicly: Never meet with a buyer at night, alone, in a secret or lonely place. Also, ensure you do so in a public place you are familiar with, where you can get help easily if need be.
  • If the item being sold has huge value, meet inside a bank where you can deposit the money before leaving.

Who joins Costoma?

  • Businesses ranging from small to large corporations, LLCs, religious organizations and non-profit organizations, startups, artisans, skilled people, professionals, practitioners, etc.

Does Costoma charge for advert posting?

  • Costoma does not charge for regular advert posts, except sponsored adverts. All other adverts are free. However, if you wish to increase your listing visibility within your category, you may be interested in upgrading to a sponsored advert.

Can I put my listing on the front page/homepage of Costoma?

  • Curently, Costoma does not put sponsored contents on its homepage for various important reasons. Refer to our sponsored contents page for possible alternatives you may be interested in.

I can't see the appropriate place to register my business on this website.

My business or service is unique and you don’t have my category. Can you create one for me?

  • Please contact us if you require a new category for your business or service. If we see that your business could be listed under a new category, it may be possible to grant your request.

The contents of my posts were altered. Why?

  • When you place a listing on Costoma, the content is always checked for grammar, offensive or sensitive content and punctuation. We ensure that, regardless of the applicant's details, we run through the information provided, make adjustments where necessary so as to ensure the information is presentable, consistent, has a professional look and does not violate any public content consumption rules and regulations, either by law or as stipulated by Costoma Terms and Conditions.

How often am I able to update my listing content?

  • The Costoma my profile dashboard is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can update contents as much as or as little as you like as long as the contents do not go contrary to our policy. Every content is subject to review.

I have more photos to add to the post. How do I do it?

  • If you created an account/signed up or logged in before the creation of the post, then go to my profile and select the appropriate option from the menu to list the posts tied to your account. Click on 'edit' and make the necessary changes; then enter your password and submit.

How do I make a suggestion or complaint?

How do I remove my listing?

Note: You need to have an account with us in order to delete your posts, and your password is required for this purpose. If someone posted your content without your consent and you wish to remove it, or you do not have an account, create one and send us a mail here.

  • If you have an account with us and you were logged in when you created the post, go to my profile and log in with your email. Then click on the options menu to see your posts. Click on 'Delete'; enter your password and submit.
  • If you do not have an account with us but you provided an email for the post during its registration, create an account and send us a complaint mail with the post's ID (e.g: 2025dx7er5...). We will send a confirmation mail to your mail box (not your Costoma account mail box).

How do I recover my forgotten account password?

  • Click on login to open the login dialogue box; enter your email in the email section and click on forgot password. A password recovery email will be sent to your inbox (not your Costoma account mail box, but your main mail box [Gmail, Yahoo mail, Hotmail, etc.]).
